In Melbourne, we stayed at Crown Towers, along Yarra River, in the suburbs of town. Its a grand and luxurious hotel with lotsa shops. Crown has its own casino, shopping promenade, big big oversized pool, restaurants, walkways. Er..to describe it as big is an understatement. Because Crown has a large and enormous perimeter. Everywhere u walk along the hotel, it belongs to Crown. Stepped out of the lobby, or thru any side doors, u ll find urself along Yarra River, and with Crown banners and flags in ur face! I m not exaggerating! Even the rooms..omg! The toilet is bigger than my bedroom...
Some pics to see and wonder..
To give an introduction..this is the lobby. Part of the lobby in fact, coz i did not take the front desk, lift area and the crystal musical fountain area... hmm..u did not read wrongly..crystal musical fountain indoors!
One night, Granny was playing with jackpots in the casino, and I heard the show beginning..in the fountain area, adjacent to the lobby. So i ran out and quickly snapped some pics of the crystals. This shows the chandelier coming down from the celing. The celing is filled with crystal sticks and several chandeliers. When the show begins, the chanderliers will move to the rhythm of the music and coupled with lightning and color, it so beautiful and dreamy...
For those who are not convinced that Crown Towers is one of the best hotel..u can visit the site at http://crowntowers.com.au/Default.aspx
Well..our room..it is a long story > we book the normal deluxe room. Upon arrival, my request for high floor, facing Yarra River and non-smoking room was not met, so they upgraded us to the Crystal Club Room! haha..dunno wats the diff la..but it was nice! yeah! so we moved in...
This is the entrance to the room. I took it at the doorway. Crown Towers have oversized guest rooms, which include a marble doorway, to the right of the pic is the entrance to the bathroom, then further down the right is the walk-in closet. Then the beds, desk and coffee area can be seen. There is a couch near the french windows and the best part! Plasma TV in the room! Another thing which excites me when i first stayed there was the bathroom: with a jaccuzi and tv, a shower area, a toilet area and big big counter-sink. hmm..the bathroom is bigger than my bedroom! I spend 2 hrs in the bathroom every morn, u cant blame me, can u? :P
The big big beds..with lotsa pillows and very warm comfy comforter! Granny is resting on the couch, after a long day shopping! Yeah, we spend a lot of time shopping, trying to sniff out the good stuff there! :)
The room at night, with night-lamp. There is a spotlight for each bed in the room too. Its very nice and the room is cozy, when the lights are dimly-lighted.
The next post is coming up soon...on our breakfast and more pics! :)
